Over the past couple of months, CHS students, families, and staff have come together to help meet the food needs of our school community. Through the dedication and hard work of CHS clubs, RISE classes, and staff, we were able to make a significant impact. Special thanks go to the JROTC classes, the Raider Blue Academy, RISE classes, and many of our staff members, whose contributions were vital to the success of this initiative.
Together, we were able to serve 138 families, providing support for 640 individuals. During the RISE competition, we were thrilled to receive 49 blankets and 234.6 pounds of food from CHS students, families, and staff. Students worked side by side with staff to assemble shelving, food carts, and boxes to organize and store the food, as well as to unload pallets and stock the shelves for distribution.
We are also deeply grateful for the generosity of our community partners, whose support made this effort possible: the Chattanooga Area Food Bank, Wellpoint, and ABCOR Packaging, LLC. Your contributions are making a difference in the lives of many, and we couldnโt have done it without you.
Thank you once again to everyone involved for your time, effort, and compassion. Together, weโve made a meaningful difference in the lives of our CHS families.
