This weekend our students will be performing “Magic Treehouse: The Knight at Dawn KIDS!” They have been working so hard under the leadership of Ms. Vaught and Mrs. Alvarez and now it is almost showtime!
There are two shows - one Friday at 6:30 and one Saturday at 1:00 at Cleveland Middle School in the theatre. There are several events at CMS this weekend, so you may find more parking at the back of the school. At the entrance of the campus, turn left and follow that road around to the back.
Come show your support for our talented Rockets on the big stage! We hope to see you there!
This month, our Ross Rocket Service club is collecting broken, used, or unwanted crayons. We are partnering with Staples and The Crayon Initiative nonprofit to collect and recycle old crayons. The recycled crayons will be made especially for patients in children’s hospitals.
Happy Solar Eclipse Day! Reminder that today is a half day with dismissal at 11:30. Students are coming home with solar eclipse glasses today. Enjoy your afternoon!

UPDATE FOR OUR 5TH GRADE FAMILIES!
There are several upcoming dates to be aware of:
TOMORROW NIGHT Feb 27 from 4:00-6:00, CMS will be open for campus tours. This is a great time for you as a family to visit the school. Students interested in band may also participate in an instrument selection during that time.
NEXT THURSDAY March 7 at 6:30, there will be a parent meeting at ROSS with CMS principal, Mr. Akiona, about the course selection process for middle school. This will be a great time to ask any questions you may have.
Finally, looking ahead to the end of the school year - on Thursday, May 2, our current 5th graders will go to CMS for Shadow a Raider day. Students will visit classes, eat lunch, and learn about middle school life. We will send permission slips home after spring break.

Girls on the Run is getting started at Ross! It is a wonderful program where girls will have fun, make friends, increase their physical activity and learn important life skills! See the flyer for more information and let us know if you have any questions!
Ross/Yates 2024 Mom/Son night will be Friday, January 19 at CHS Raider Arena. All Ross & Yates boys and their moms or another special lady in their life are invited! Doors open at 7:00 pm, and the game begins at 7:30 pm. We hope to see you there!
You may have seen some of our Launching Leaders ringing bells for the Salvation Army Saturday! It was a morning filled with ringing bells, festive dances, huge smiles, and grateful hearts. Thanks to our sponsors for this opportunity for our students to serve their community!
Coming Soon - The Book Fair will be at Ross December 4-8! Students will be able to make purchases during their library classes. On Monday, December 4 during our Ross Christmas Event, families can shop the book fair from 5:30-7:30! All purchases will benefit our school!
Last week was National School Psychology Week and we are so grateful to Ms. McChesney for all that she does for our students and their families. Ms. McChesney is a bright light and has such a caring heart. She is truly a gift to us all.

Thank you so much to the Cleveland TN Fire Department for coming to Ross today to talk about fire prevention! Our students learned all about fire safety and even got to see a fire truck up close! 🚒
