Two School Districts Join Forces with ATS The Bridge to Combat the Vaping Epidemic Amongst Students

Together, Bradley County and Cleveland City Schools are thrilled to announce a partnership with ATS The Bridge, a nonprofit organization committed to raising awareness about the dangers of substance abuse, vaping, and opioids with a special focus on students in our community.

This collaborative effort reflects a shared commitment to address the pressing issue of substance abuse among students. Joining forces with ATS The Bridge allows both school districts to enhance their impact on the community and provide crucial resources for prevention.

By teaming up with ATS The Bridge, our schools aim to empower our youth with the knowledge and skills needed to make informed decisions, fostering a safe and supportive environment.

Substance abuse is a critical concern that requires a collective effort. This collaboration is a testament to our dedication to the well-being of our students. By working with ATS The Bridge, we can leverage resources and create meaningful initiatives to combat this growing issue.

Jared Waldrop with ATS The Bridge is equally enthusiastic about the collaboration and its potential impact. "We believe that prevention is key, and through partnerships like these, we can make a real difference in the lives of students. Our goal is to provide them with the tools and knowledge necessary to navigate the challenges of substance misuse."

In a focused campaign, the collaboration will address the dangers of vaping, employing various strategies such as public service announcements (PSAs), a targeted social media campaign, and hosting community events. This multifaceted approach aims to reach children and adolescents through channels they engage with regularly.

As part of the inaugural initiative, school system leaders, alongside ATS The Bridge, will host an event at the PIE Center Compass Assembly on February 13th, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. This event will serve as a platform to kickstart the campaign with parent-teacher organization (PTO) members by providing valuable information on vaping and substance abuse prevention.
