The third SGA candidate spotlight: “We would like to perfect our school in a way that makes it an environment that students look forward to being in. We also want to characterize our school according to the student body and it’s voice, i.e., giving our students a creative outlet. Lastly, we want to use this position to put students’ desires into action.”
Paige Wenger and Stephanie Lakatosh
Our Second SGA Spotlight is juniors Ryan Lovelace and Rishi Soni. They are running for Student Body President and Vice President respectively. Ryan is a state champion and school record holder for our track and field and cross country teams. Ryan is also involved with the NHS, the Leadership Program, and CHSLive. Rishi is the vice president of Science Olympiad, vice president of the Environmental Awareness Association, and the electrical lead on the FIRST Robotics team. Rishi is also an International Science and Engineering Fair finalist and the winner of the Tennessee Junior Academy of Sciences. He is also involved in NHS, SNHS, Mu Alpha Theta, and the Cleveland Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership program. Ryan and Rishi have an average ACT score of 34.
Both Ryan and Rishi have grown up in Cleveland City Schools, having been together since kindergarten at Yates Primary. “We want to be a representative for everyone at CHS. No one loves this school as much as we do, that is why we are the best option for Student Body President and Vice President. Make sure to VOTE FOR RYAN AND RISHI on May 5th-7th.
Our Graduates of Distinction Celebration was tonight. We honored the 30 Blue Raiders who will finish their high school experience with a 4.0 GPA along with a teacher who pushed them along the way. It was a special night for our students, families, and teachers.

Outside of the school these young ladies are involved in the Distinguished Young Women program, and have received the Daughters of the American Revolution Youth Citizenship Award.
