Cleveland High School is proud to share that Michael Ritchie, Welding Instructor, has been selected as the American Welding Society (AWS) District 8 Educator of the Year for the 2022-2023 school year. This prestigious award recognizes outstanding educators in the field of welding, honoring those whose teaching activities significantly contribute to advancing the knowledge and skills of welding among students.
The AWS District and Section Educator Award is a testament to Mr. Ritchie's exceptional dedication to welding education. This recognition comes in his first year as an educator at Cleveland High School, making the achievement even more remarkable.
The AWS District 8 encompasses a broad area, including Chattanooga, Cleveland, Bradley County, North Georgia, and North Alabama. Mr. Ritchie's selection reflects his commitment to providing students with a high-quality education in welding.
